Italian-born jockey Frankie Dettori is attempting to ride on the back of his branded pizza success with a line of frozen Italian starters.
Dettori’s Starters range will initially feature four products - cheese & tomato bruschetta, feta & vegetable bruschetta, primavera rustichetta and sweet peppers rustichetta.
They are about to roll out in Sainsbury priced at £1.99 and on a buy two for £3 promotion.
Starters join tomatoes, pasta and ice cream within the Frankie Dettori Italian Foods’ portfolio, which originally hit supermarkets with a four-strong range of pizzas in 2002.
