Iceland has renewed its decade-long warehousing and distribution deal with XPO.
The contract covers six Iceland warehouses in Warrington, Deeside, Enfield, Livingston and two in Swindon, with extra capacity when required at XPO shared-user sites. XPO manages approximately 3,000 colleagues at the DCs.
Together, XPO and Iceland have co-developed a behavioural safety programme for site colleagues, which has achieved annual improvements in safety performance, including during Covid.

“Together, we’re achieving measurable improvements in safety and operational excellence, while continuing to give Iceland customers the outstanding service they expect from us.”
XPO is now implementing a strategy to increase growth capacity for the supermarket, with “scalable initiatives” covering technology, labour optimisation, fleet optimisation and cost savings.
