Key Lekkerland wholesaler AC Ward and Son has appointed Paul Brendish as its new chief operating officer.
Brendish joins AC Ward in the newly created role from Blockbuster, where he was director of supply chain and systems. Prior to his eight years at Blockbuster, Brendish held numerous distribution and supply chain roles during a 10-year period with Dixons.
At AC Ward, Brendish will be responsible for improving the wholesaler’s efficiency and customer service. His key priority will be to enhance stock control management.
AC Ward has also hired Sam Radford as operations manager. Radford joins from Tibbett & Britten where he held the position of transport manager.
The wholesaler said it expected the appointments to drive profitable growth at its depot in West Thurrock, Essex. The wholesaler is conducting an internal restructuring of the depot with the construction of a 3,000 sq ft wine area.
