The National Egg Marketing Association said this week that the slight upturn in the market appeared to be faltering. Earlier, egg producers' body UKEPRA reported the market continuing to be weak, but that it may have bottomed out. There were still plenty of eggs available in all sectors but wholesale prices had moved slightly upwards. Producer comments ranged from "the awful weather keeping egg consumption going with cooked breakfasts" to "the culling of old birds is at least affecting the market". {{M/E CANNED GOODS }}
