The Glenmorangie Co has promoted chief operating officer Paul Skipworth to president and managing director.

He takes over from Paul Neep, who has retired after heading the Scotch whisky brand for 14 years.

Skipworth, who was appointed as COO in January 2009, will look to drive continued growth for the company’s Glenmorangie and Ardbeg brands.

“We are planning further investment in advertising and promotions to build our brands in key markets and will continue to benefit from the strong global distribution network of Moët Hennessy,” he said.

In a separate move, Glenmorangie’s international marketing and communication director, Marc Hoellinger, has been promoted to marketing strategy director for Moët Hennessy Wines & Spirits. Hoellinger is succeeded by David White, previously a senior marketing manager at Glenmorangie.
