Health food specialist Holland & Barrett has bought the Health and Diet Group for £7.5m from Dutch group Numico.
Holland & Barrett will inherit 56 nutritional supplement stores called GNC, 49 located in the UK and seven stores at US Army bases, with annual sales of £30m.
The acquisition also includes the wholesale brand FSC and packaging operation in Manchester, which has annual sales of £8m.
