Werner White has been appointed managing director of KN Drinks Logistics, the newly formed drinks division of logistics group Kuehne + Nagel. White has some 24 years' experience in the logistics division, having worked in senior roles for companies including National Carriers, British Road Services, Tibbett and Britten and Hays. He said: "My goal is to grow the KN Drinks Logistics business by being recognised as the first choice provider to the drinks industry."
SSP, the travel retail arm of Compass bought by investment group EQT and Macquarie Bank in April, has appointed Vagn Sørensen as non-executive chairman. Also appointed as non-execs are Barry Gibson, Lena Andersson Hofsberger and Dennis Malamatinas.
Dame Suzi Leather is stepping down from her role as chair of the School Food Trust to become chair of the Charity Commission. Dame Suzi, who has been chair of the School Food Trust since it was established last year, takes up her new role on 1 August.

John Lewis Partnership is to appoint two non-executive directors later this summer. The non-execs will join its 12 directors and introduce "fresh challenge and stimulus".
Roger Corbett, CEO of Woolworths Australia, has been elected chairman of CIES - the Food Business Forum. Corbett replaces Claude Hauser, chairman of Swiss retailer Migros.
