David Cheesewright has been handed a new role at Walmart, in which he will oversee its UK business and other overseas operations. Cheesewright was chief operating officer at Asda for seven years before becoming president and chief executive of Walmart Canada in 2008.
A senior executive at Danone is leaving the French dairy giant to take over at luxury handbag maker Louis Vuitton. Jordi Constans was previously executive vice president of fresh dairy products at Danone.
The Glenmorangie Co has promoted chief operating officer Paul Skipworth to president and managing director. He takes over from Paul Neep, who has retired after heading the Scotch whisky brand for 14 years.
