Lowthers Cakes and Country Bakehouse have both found buyers after going into administrative receivership in January following a request from the company's directors.
Cakes and tarts manufacturer Lowthers Cakes has been acquired by pastry and sponge-based products supplier Oakdale Bakeries.
Oakdale currently operates from two sites in Leeds and Doncaster and the deal secures more than 100 jobs at Lowthers' Wigan site.
Llandudno-based Country Bakehouse was bought by Manchester-based Martins Cakes, which will inherit Country Bakehouse's Eccles cake and sponge products business.
Both companies are part of the Lowther Food Group, which also owns Furniss Foods and Cookie Coach. Neither of these companies are in administrative receivership and are trading as usual.
Oakdale Bakeries chairman Marshall Capel said: "Lowthers Cakes' product range and customer base will make an excellent fit with our own. This acquisition will enable Oakdale to strengthen and further develop its position as one of the largest and most innovative suppliers of bakery products to the retail market."
