Dutch group Numico is to sell its US vitamin unit Rexall Sundown to switch its focus back to infant food and clinical nutrition after poor third quarter sales hit profits.
Numico posted a 3% drop in third quarter net profit of 53m euros on total sales that fell 6.1% to 928m euros, hit by an extraordinary charge of 1.44bn to write off goodwill for supplement activities Stateside.
