Snackhouse is to build on its recent spate of product launches with new developments including Directors Cut, a big bag adult snack, and a range of character snacks based on the forthcoming blockbuster Titan AE. The company, formerly Bensons Crisps, said the launches formed part of its strategy of broadening its range away from the highly competitive potato crisps sector. It is also moving into specialist areas such as low fat snacks. That strategy, and recent acquisitions, helped it raise pretax profits by 14% to £1.03m on turnover of £26.4m, up 27%, in the six months ended May 31. {{NEWS }}
