Starry
Prediction magazine, the monthly from IPC, is being relaunched this month to make the most of the horoscope season. In the last two years Prediction has recorded two consecutive ABC increases. Distribution is by Marketforce.

New parts
January is the season of new partworks, and the new batch includes the fortnightly Angelina's Fairy Tales from GE Fabbri. On sale now, cover price is £2.60. Highbeams is a six issues partwork from Paisano with the first on sale on January 28, cover price is £2.50.

Super reads
Supermarkets are continuing to see an increase in performance in terms of news and magazine sales with some still showing growth in magazine sales of over 18% year-on-year, according to distributor Comag. CTNs and convenience outlets continue to report a more varied performance. Asda is continuing to show strong growth in both newspaper and magazine sales. In October, the best week once again showed growth of 18% year-on-year. Sainsbury is 5% up on news and magazine sales year-on-year to date.

Bigger
Woman and Woman's Own will both have a regular eight additional pages from the January 6 2003 issues. Both will increase their coverprice by 2p, taking each title to 72p a week.

Shapely
The January/ February 2003 issue of Shape magazine comes with a free paperback eating and fitness book worth £7.99 bagged on to every magazine. The issue will offer readers the chance to win prizes worth £10,000.

Switch
Hachette Filipacchi UK has moved the distribution of its magazines from Frontline to Marketforce, effective from March 2003. Hachette Filipacchi's UKtitles include Sugar and TV Hits.
