Fresh new relaunch



McBride is relaunching its household cleaning and laundry brand Clean 'n' Fresh with a revamped packaging design and updated fragrances and bottles. The brand provides independent retailers with an alternative to the major brands and is available nationally in wholesalers and cash & carries.



?Sweet-smelling shelves



Unilever ran a six-week deal to have scented shelf-barkers in 500 of The Co-operative Group's largest stores for its Comfort brand. The units had a special button that released a generic Comfort scent when pressed. "This deal shows how creative thinking can go a long way within retail," says Jon Southcombe, MD of The Co-op's media agency abc media.



LPC top of the league for recycling



Own label tissue supplier LPC Group says it topped the table of suppliers in Greenpeace's league of tissue suppliers for recyclability and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) performance. Twenty-four of the highest green accredited were own label lines produced by LPC. The company has also recently added to its base in Sweden by acquiring mills in Roanne, France, and Duffel, Belgium.



OzKleen expansion under way



Plans are under way for stage two of OzKleen's expansion plans. The eco-friendly maker of bath, kitchen, carpet and pre-wash powder is set to add a further 2,550 sq m to its production facility in Queensland. Stage one has already been completed, with an extra 3,600 sq m of extra floorspace enabling a four-fold increase in production capacity at the site. New additions to the range have also been made possible, including Ozkleen's Home Dry Cleaner which is set to launch in the UK early this year.
