Claire Hodge has been promoted to global innovation director at Twinings.

Hodge has been marketing director for Twinings UK for the past four years and is credited with creating Twinings campaigns such as the 'announcement ads' featuring Stephen Fry and the recent 'Discover the Art of Tea' campaign.

"I am delighted to take up the role of global innovation director," she said. "While we are proud of our recent success, it's important that we don't become complacent and continue to evolve the Twinings brand, delivering excellence across every aspect of the business."

Hodge will be replaced as UK marketing director by Sean Summers. Summers joins the company on 2 August from PepsiCo where he has worked for the past 14 years, most recently as marketing director for Quaker and Tropicana. "It's a very exciting time for Sean to be joining Twinings and we look forward to welcoming him to the team," said Hodge. "With record share and a record number of consumers, the business is in a strong position and we are confident that Sean's significant expertise at PepsiCo will allow us to strengthen our position even further."
