An eco-food refill station has been installed to help consumers ditch plastic

Dorset-based wholesaler Hunt’s Foodservice will sell direct to consumers for the first time in almost 90 years as it opens its first food store.

The new ‘food outlet’ on Digby Road, Sherborne in Dorset aims to pass on wholesale prices to trade and consumers.

Hunt’s Food Outlet will offer a refill station branded as ‘Eco-food refill station’ for everyday essentials such as rice and pasta along with fresh milk, in a bid to encourage customers to ditch plastic.

“This is a significant moment in the history of Hunt’s Foodservice,” said MD Richard Hunt. “We’ve made great strides as a business in recent years and this move reflects that continued growth.”
