Kitwave has opened a new distribution warehouse in Wakefield, to replace the group’s old Wakefield site.
The facility will also act as the head office for Kitwave-owned on-trade wholesaler HB Clark.
“We are delighted that all 80 of our staff members are making the move to the new site, highlighting the strong relationships Kitwave maintains with its colleagues,” said Kitwave CEO Paul Young.
“This is only the third move in HB Clark’s 100-plus-year history and comes at an exciting time for the group, as it delivers on its growth strategy.”
The group’s soft drinks production facility will also relocate to Wakefield from Leeds by May this year, bringing new equipment for increased capacity and better storage facilities.
Alongside the move, HB Clark plans to launch a new online platform with the aim of improving customer experience.
“Forward-thinking initiatives such as these will significantly improve HB Clark’s operations, allowing the business to ensure the delivery of the highest quality service to its customers and continue to provide a first-class route to market for our supplier partners,” said Kitwave MD Jay MacKay.
