The collective turnover of members of buying group Landmark Wholesale has risen by 18% to £2.5bn in the past year.

The growth came from a mixture of new and existing members, managing director Martin Williams said.

Landmark Wholesale has recruited five new members in the past 12 months - Brook Street Foodservice, Country Range Group, Coventry C&C, Medina dairy and Turners Fine Foods.

The buying group has also lined up three more members to join on 1 January 2013, Wiliams added.

“We are happy to talk to any progressive wholesalers that fit our quality model. It is the quality and integrity that matter, not their size,” he said.
