Potato supplier Branston has invested £1.7m in new facilities at its Scottish site. The new integrated washing and sizing production line would “revolutionise” the factory’s ability to process high volumes of crop, the business said.
The investment had been made to enable Branston to meet the demand of a large long-term contract the company had recently been awarded, said GM for the Perthshire site, Kevin Imrie.
