FARMERS SHAKE HANDS

Distributor Nagel Langdons has clinched a £100,000 contract with Macsween to handle the haggis and black pudding maker’s picking and despatching.

The contract will see the Nagel-Group subsidiary expand its storage and distribution service to include contract freezing, tempering and case picking for Macsween. It brings the total value of work it handles for Macsween to about £250,000.

“This agreement demonstrates the clear benefits of outsourcing order assembly and despatch functions which can free up space for production and ultimately improve productivity for our customers,” said Malcom Wilde, general manager for Scotland at Nagel Langdons.
