Tracey Rogers

Tracey Rogers is to retire as managing director of Unilever Food Solutions after 25 years’ service with the Unilever group.

She began her career at Unilever as sales director in the personal care division, before taking the roles of VP personal care, SVP household cleaners Europe, and SVP personal care Europe. Prior to her current position, which she took up in May 2009, she was chairman of Central Europe.

“It’s been very rewarding, taking on the many challenges faced by our business, but after 25 years with Unilever, it’s time to hand over the reins,” said Rogers, who will step down officially on 31 December.

She will be succeeded by Hazel Detsiny, currently VP marketing global e-commerce for Unilever, who will take up her new post on 1 October.

Detsiny joined the company in 2005 as a brand director in Europe, turning around the Slimfast UK business from four years of double-digit decline. As VP of brand building foods & ice cream for the UK & Ireland, she was responsible for growing brands including Knorr, PG and Hellmann’s. She previously worked for companies including Shell, Manpower and Proctor & Gamble.

“Tracey has made many significant contributions during her seven years as managing director,” said Detsiny. “She has shaped the strategic agenda and successfully led the food solutions team to deliver great results.

“Tracey is going to be a tough act to follow, but I’m excited about the future and looking forward to the challenge.”
