RUGBY-RUNNER

Tesco has gone into partnership with the official apparel suppliers for the Rugby World Cup, which kicks off on 18 September.

Shoppers on Tesco Direct can order home delivery or free click & collect items in store, including official Rugby World Cup sports clothing and equipment.

Sportfolio Europe, which owns the rights for the event, said it hoped the deal would help boost sales when rugby fever hits before the tournament, hosted in England, gets underway.

The move is one of the latest signings to the Tesco marketplace, which launched in 2012 but has struggled to compete with the likes of Amazon - which also has a deal with Sportfolio to supply the products.
