The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil has confirmed Premier Foods is sourcing 25% of its palm oil from fully traceable sources.
Premier buys the remaining 75% of its palm oil through the GreenPalm Programme, which rewards growers for following basic safeguards but does not ensure oil is from sustainable sources.
Premier intends to source all palm oil from RSPO-certified sources by 2015.
