Turkish wine producers have secured their first major UK supermarket listing.

Wines from Turkey - already available via Thierry’s and Laithwaites - went mainstream this month after M&S listed two varieties from the Aegean region.

Anfora Trio from the Pamukkale Winery (rsp: £7.49) and Sevilen Sauvignon Blanc from the Sevilen Winery (rsp: £9.99) launched in larger stores and through M&S Wine Direct. The listings are part of the roll out of 15 Eastern Mediterranean wines by M&S, including three from Lebanon and others from Croatia, Slovenia, Greece and Israel (rsp: £7.99-£12.49.)

Wines of Turkey tastings were oversubscribed at this year’s LIWF.
