Shetland-based Blackwood Distillers has been named Best New Exporter and Scottish Exporter of the Year at the Food from Britain Export Awards ceremony.
Blackwood Distillers has been exporting Jago’s Vodka Cream Liqueur, Blackwood’s Nordic Vodka and Blackwood’s Nordic Dry Gin for less than a year and has sampled at more than 200 consumer and trade shows worldwide to raise awareness of its portfolio.
Caroline Whitfield, Blackwood’s CEO, said: “From a standing start in October 2003 our products are now available in over 14 countries worldwide, driven by our aim to be the most innovative drinks company in the world.”
