Cough medicines have caught the convenience bug with the launch of Benylin in sachet format.
Consumers can now take Benylin Chesty Coughs on the run, using single-dose 5ml sachets, which are boxed in packs of 10.
Both Chesty Coughs Non-Drowsy Sachets (rsp: £3.49) and Children’s Chesty Coughs Sachets (rsp: £3.29) are the first cough liquid available in this format after consumer research showed shoppers were looking for remedies in a portable format for daily use.
Children’s Chesty Coughs sachets come in a strawberry
flavour syrup, which is sugar and colour-free. The medicine can be poured onto a spoon or drunk straight from the sachet.
Benylin senior product manager Joanne Heathcote said: “Ease-of-use is a key customer need and we anticipate that the launch of these sachets will drive trial and market penetration.”
The new Benylin sachet format will be supported by the Coff, Coff, Off! poster advertising campaign.
