Rib house Bodean's has branched into grocery for the first time with two barbecue sauces and plans to boost the brand further in the supermarkets later this year.
Bodean's launched its Smoked Hickory BBQ and Hot Chipotle BBQ sauces (rsp: £1.85/220g) exclusively into 141 Sainsbury's stores at the end of May. The sauces will initially sit in the barbecue fixture but the company hopes to secure listings beyond the summer and plans to roll out its 'rub range' for meats into retail. Bodean's has four restaurants across central London and an external catering service.
