A lorry carrying some 22 tonnes of tomato ketchup crashed last week on the A580 between Liverpool and Manchester.
That much red stuff must’ve given the police a bit of a fright, but fortunately no one was hurt and the sticky situation had been cleaned up within hours - though we’re not sure whether or not the cops did it with 50 tonnes of chips.
