Booker is taking the fight to the illicit tobacco trade with the launch of a new tobacco brand that offers retailers a profit on return of 10%.
Treasurer Executive is available in two varieties – Black King Size and Gold King Size – with both price-marked at £7.19. They will be available in half sleeves of five x 20s.
The launch comes the day after the wholesaler revealed its tobacco sales fell 2.2% in the six months to 24 September because of increased competition from the illicit trade.
“This new Treasurer cigarettes range offers a massive 10% POR for retailers,” said sales director for retail Steve Fox.
“With a price mark of £7.19 they are really competitive against other mid-tier products and being in half sleeves also helps our customers with their cash flow.
“I am confident that these new products that are exclusive to Booker in wholesale, will add another dimension to retailers’ cigarette gantries and help them make more profits,” he added.
