Australian snack brand Health Lab is bringing its range of plant-based protein balls to the UK.
Eight flavours, each with “unique health benefits” signposted on pack, will make their UK debut in Planet Organic from January.
The range, which includes Choc Brownie Protein Balls; Salted Caramel Protein Balls; and Choc Cherry Collagen Balls, will initially be sold individually (rsp: £240g), with five-packs to follow.

“It’s time to give people looking for a healthier snack a genuine choice and something that tastes amazing,” said Matthew Fearn, MD Health Lab UK. “People might not want a sugar-laden chocolate bar, but they shouldn’t have to punish themselves with at best bland-tasting cereal bars and at worst glorified bird food balls.”
Health Lab was founded in Melbourne by Jess Thomas in 2015 and its on-the-go snack portfolio now includes probiotic beauty balls, protein balls, kids snacks and protein smoothies. The company established its UK arm in 2018 to “bring natural, honest products to the UK marketplace”, it said.
“We’re here to shake this market up,” added Fearn. “We’re determined to make health accessible for everyone. Not just the beautiful people on Instagram, but the normal everyday heroes who kill it each day by keeping the plates spinning. The UK is ready for us!”
