Sainsbury’s has added to its growing carb alternatives range with the launch of two new veg-based lasagne sheets.
The pasta sheet alternatives have just gone on sale, and are made out of either courgette or butternut squash (rsp: £1.50/400g).
They add to the retailer’s carb alternatives offering, which include cauliflower rice, beetroot rice, squash noodles and courgetti. Sainsbury’s called the newcomers “a great alternative to traditional lasagne sheets” on its website.
Earlier this year, CEO Mike Coupe said the retailer’s butternut squash noodles and courgetti were proving “extremely popular” as consumers looked for healthier options.
