Coors Brewers, the manufacturer of Carling, Grolsch and Coors Fine Light Beer, has announced it is launching a new 2% ABV Carling called C2.

The beer, which is a naturally-brewed 2% lager, will initially be launched into the on-trade at the end of this year, and it will then be made available for the off-trade in 2006.

“There are so many occasions where drinkers have to either opt for a soft drink which they don’t really like, or make a single pint last two or three hours,” says Coors Brewers Marketing Director, Mark Hunter.

Since 1996, Carling has doubled in size, selling 5.4m barrels in the last year.
