Ocado has signed up Packaging Services Europe to manage the washing and inspection of its storage and delivery totes.
Lancashire-based PSE was set up in January 2016. The Ocado contract is one of its biggest contract wins to date.
“Good quality equipment is absolutely essential if we’re to meet the high standards our customers have come to expect from us, and PSE will play a pivotal role in helping us to deliver on this goal,” said Ocado divisional site services manager Martin Svec.
PSE co-founder Jane Gorick added: “We know how crucial a role hygiene and quality play in retail logistics, so are looking forward to providing our tote washing services to Ocado.”
