Spar customers of Blakemore Trade Partners can now order stock on the go via the group’s new quickShop app.
Blakemore launched the mobile app so its retailers across the Meridian & Welsh Guild could order the full range of products for delivery.
The app also includes a barcode scanner and profit-on-return calculator, as well as a product-search facility and ability to view order history and favourites.
Blakemore worked with mobile app consultancy RNF Digital Innovation to develop the technology.
“For busy business owners, a mobile ordering app is a vital tool and we are confident it will deliver real benefits to our customers,” said AF Blakemore strategic projects director Simon Wiltshire.
Gill Marsh Forecourts MD Tom Dant said: “This new app has lots of great functions to save retailers time and is very easy to use and navigate.
“I like that I can see how much I’m spending as I shop, and the ‘favourite products’ menu option provides a good platform to build a shopping list from.”
The app can be downloaded from the Apple iTunes store and the Google Play Store.
