Brakes’s new Innovation Centre in Reading

Brakes has opened a new innovation centre in Reading.

The 10,763 sq ft facility includes a food market and a kitchen, run by 13 chefs, with six training bays and audio-visual support that will be used to train chefs across the country.

Brakes said the new centre had been designed to develop, grow, and support the company’s products, colleagues and customers.

The new premises will not replace the company’s Covent Garden innovation centre, which it opened in 2004, said Brakes.

“This new facility has been designed very much with our customers in mind and our team of chefs has been involved at every stage to ensure this facility works for us and them,” said Brakes food marketing manager Becky Hover.

“The innovation centre is a fantastic space where we can work together to help train, develop and support caterers and their food business through a more tailor-made and relevant approach. We are sure it will have a bright future.”
