The potato chip-making team at Tyrrells has added another string to its bow with the creation of a range of mini baked breadsticks.

The breadsticks are a natural extension to the company's successful hand-cooked potato and mixed root vegetable chips range and will be available from this month in 35g bags in two flavours - sour cream & chive and sweet Thai chilli. They have an rsp of 59p.

Will Chase, founder of Tyrrells Potato Chips, said that the range would complement its crisps offering and appeal to a different type of snacker. It would also target consumers with smaller appetites.

"Our breadsticks are a delicious, low-fat and low-sodium snack aimed at the speciality food sector," he said. "Although our potato chips and mixed root vegetable chips lie at the heart of our success, we are excited about introducing another premium snack offering to our growing customer base."
