Asda is launching an in-store activity programme today to raise money for BBC Children in Need, celebrating the charity’s 25-year anniversary.

London-based Inferno, who has already created several entertainment campaigns for Asda this year, has created and launched the in-store activity in partnership with Sony Computer Entertainment UK.

The two companies created a national in-store singing competition to give customers the chance to win the prize of appearing on stage at a regional BBC Children in Need concert.

From today ‘Pudsey’s Party SingSong’ areas will be set up in the foyers of 40 Asda stores throughout the UK, housing PlayStation2 SingStar egg units.

The competition will end on November 15, when three winners will be announced. The winners will appear on stage at three regional BBC Children in Need concerts, supported by Asda on November 19 in Gloucester, Hull and Carlisle.
