Roys of Wroxham has posted a hike in sales after opening a new store.

The store, in Beccles, Suffolk, opened last October. Directors said they were “pleased with the initial level of trade”.

Sales rose 6.5% to £48.4m in the year to 26 January, although pre-tax profits fell 19.3% to £1.1m, according to accounts filed at Companies House.

The directors said Roys remained “committed to seeking new opportunities for additional stores”.
