Booker has expanded its Euro Shopper range for the first time since it launched the 30-strong range in the summer of last year.

The five new lines are an isotonic orange sports drink, two sparkling glucose drinks, washing up liquid and lemonade.

"Sales of the range have been growing and we sell about £500,000 of products a week," said Steve Fox, Booker's director of retail and Premier development.

He added that the range, which aims to provide attractive cheaper alternatives to brands, was even more important in the current economic climate.
