Jamie Oliver will again star for Sainsbury’s in a festive ad campaign celebrating a “fairytale” Christmas.

The celebrity chef will in a 60-second commercial that hits screens tonight during Coronation Street. A series of shorter commercials will bolster the campaign in the run-up to Christmas.

“This is one of the best ads I have ever done for Sainsbury’s,” Oliver said.

“In just a couple of nights the team created a fairytale Christmas with everything from snow to Christmas lights to a full choir. I hope it really helps get everyone in the spirit of Christmas.”

Last week Marks & Spencer debuted its latest Christmas spectacular, with northern funnyman Peter Kay taking top billing in a series of comedic dance numbers.
