Asda has named Anthony Thompson as managing director of its clothing brand George.
Thompson will take up the role on 17 September, joining Asda from Marks & Spencer where he was retail director.
He replaces Angela Spindler who quit the role last month to spend more time with her family.
"Anthony will be a great asset to both George and Asda and a valuable addition to my executive team," said Asda CEO Andy Bond. "He is an experienced clothing expert, has a real passion and enthusiasm for the brand, and proven leadership skills."
