This time a year ago the Top Store award winner was Morrisons' store in Bridgwater, Somerset.
Deputy manager Steve Pearson said the new store had been well received by customers.
Pearson is now deputy manager of a store in Yeovil, with Eddie Sear stepping into his shoes at Bridgwater.
He says that the past year has been a successful one for the store. "It has been good," he says. "We have had strong sales growth here and the people of Bridgwater have got used to seeing the fascia as it's only been open as a Morrisons since 2005.
"We're looking to build up great availability and excellent customer service and just want to expand on what we have achieved so far."
