J&J Wilson has reported a 56% uplift in full-year profits.

The Nisa member, which operates 70 stores in holiday parks across the UK, said pre-tax profits rose from £210,704 to £328,783 in the year to 31 January. Sales dipped 1.9% to £16.7m.

“The company has had a successful year, consolidating its performance after strong growth in the previous year,” managing director Derrick Lloyd said in accounts filed at Companies House.

J&J Wilson switched from Costcutter to Nisa in June this year. It had been a Costcutter member for 25 years.

At the time, Lloyd told The Grocer trading in the current year had been “pretty quiet” because of the wet weather.
