Muller driver

Müller Milk & Ingredients has secured a two-year contract to supply Greggs with fresh milk.

The deal builds on an existing partnership between the two businesses which has seen the dairy company supply Greggs with fresh milk in Scotland for the past four years.

Müller’s UK-sourced milk will be used in Greggs coffee in 1,500 shops across England, Scotland and Wales.

“Greggs recognise our industry-leading strengths in driving value for our customers through strong partnerships that are underpinned by excellent supply chain, operational and service delivery performance, quality and reliability,” said Liam McNamara, joint CEO at Müller Milk & Ingredients.

“We are committed to offering our customers great quality and value across our range, something which this partnership will help deliver,” added Malcolm Copland, commercial director at Greggs.

“Sourcing sustainably and protecting animal welfare are key parts of our sustainability strategy, The Greggs Pledge, and these values are shared between our two organisations, which lays the foundations for continued success,” Copland added.

Müller Milk & Ingredients redesigned and relaunched its branded liquid milk range in April 2022, with a focus on health, recyclability of the packaging and responsible sourcing.

The partnership will see the redesigned bottle used in Greggs shops, as the dairy company continues to “maximise its position as a much-loved brand within the category”.

“Our Müller Advantage programme is driving progress in areas like environmental impact, herd health and supply chain collaboration, and our products are trusted by customers and consumers,” said McNamara. “It is a successful partnership, and an extended one benefits the whole supply chain.”
