Peter Darbyshire, MD of Thierry's Wine Services, is moving to take on the same role at PLB Wines.
Darbyshire will replace PLB MD John Smith, who is retiring after 24 years.
"I have a clear vision of where we should be in the future and Peter's expertise will take us there," said chairman Jeffrey Fredericks.
Darbyshire has spent the past five years at Thierry's. His old role will be split between three members of the existing management team at Thierry's.
