Home bakers are being offered the chance to cheat like the pros with two new Dr Oetker products.
The brand has taken products used by professional chefs and adapted them for mass-market use. Cake Release Spray (rsp: £2.99) is designed to be sprayed on baking tins and eliminate the need to grease or line tins with paper, while Egg Glaze Spray (rsp: £2.99) is made from free-range eggs and can be used to add a glaze to scones, pies and pastries.
The brand is also rolling out four glitzy cake decorating products: Citrus Flavour Strands, Polka Dots and Soft Sugar Pearls (all rsp: £1.29), together with Shimmer Sugar in a single jar containing four different colours (rsp: £1.99).
The home-baking products are supported by a £4m marketing spend.l Green's has relaunched its kids' cake mixes (rsp: £1.69) with improved recipes and packaging that features clearer instructions.
