Comedian Ellie Taylor has been unveiled as the celebrity guest of The Grocer New Product Awards 2018.
Taylor, who also writes and acts, has been a stand-up comic since 2010, since when she has competed in ITV’s comedy talent contest Show Me The Funny (coming fourth), hosted BBC Three panel show Snog Marry Avoid?, and been a guest on the likes of Mock the Week, Would I Lie to You? and Pointless Celebrities.
Her acting credits include Plebs, The Mash Report, The Lodge and Brotherhood.
She will co-host The Grocer’s awards ceremony on Friday 5 October alongside the magazine’s editor, Adam Leyland. Winners and runners-up of our celebration of outstanding branded fmcg innovation will be announced at a lavish lunch at Marriott Grosvenor Square, London.
The shortlist of finalists covers sectors from babyfood and bagged snacks to spreads & preserves and store cupboard essentials. It comes after a rigorous consumer judging process, saw almost 200 entries trimmed to 130 across 29 categories. They were then subject to scrutiny from a panel of experts comprising the likes of brand bosses, food development gurus and journalists.
