Upmarket soft drinks brand Fentimans has recalled specific batches of its 750ml ginger beer, curiosity cola and dandelion & burdock drinks as “a precaution”.
The FSA issued a product information recall information notice on its website today, highlighting five named lot codes that it said have been found to display “signs of weakness that may cause some bottles to break” – although it said this was a precautionary measure.
The FSA said point-of-sale notices will be supplied to retailers to tell customers about the recall. Shoppers who have bought the products are advised not to drink them, but to return the products to the store where they bought them to get a full refund.
No other Fentimans products are known to be affected.
