MPK Garages is back in profit. The indie forecourt operator notched up pre-tax profits of £143,392 in the year to 29 February 2012, against a loss of £22,112 the year before.

Sales rose 8.7% to £45.3m, according to accounts filed at Companies House. “We are satisfied that the group has continued to cope well with the changing market conditions and have plans to continue to meet ongoing needs for the foreseeable future,” the directors wrote in the accounts.
