Fresh produce companies in Wales are to be given advice on using QR codes to market their businesses, thanks to a £100,000 grant from the Welsh Assembly.

The funding will extend the government’s Supply Chain Efficiency Scheme, run by Horticulture Wales, for a fourth year.

It will help producers to use QR codes, encourage them to use eco-friendly packaging and encourage growers to diversify or rent out land.

Horticulture Wales has received total funding of £1.74m to date.
