Gaymer Cider Company produced its "largest-ever" monthly run of cider in June to meet the demand generated by heavyweight festival sponsorship and the heatwave.
The company, which sponsored Glastonbury, estimated that its Shepton Mill site had produced 2.3 million nine-litre cases of cider under its Blackthorn and Gaymers brands 38% more than last June.
Significant investment in extra cider-making equipment had enabled the mill to operate at full capacity to meet heightened demand, it said.
